Posted by The Redeemer University community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Dawson Abrahams, a beloved student, teammate, and friend. Dawson, 24, passed away this month, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, faith, and compassion that touched countless lives.
Hockey Career and Achievements
Last season, Dawson served as one of the assistant captains of the Redeemer Royals Men’s Hockey team. He was named Rookie of the Year, recording 11 goals and 31 points in 21 games. His talent and dedication quickly made him a leader within the program.
A Legacy Beyond the Ice
Dawson’s greatest impact was not measured in goals or assists but in his character:
- A servant‑hearted leader who consistently put others before himself.
- Known for his humility, integrity, and compassion.
- Led team devotions, shared his testimony, and gathered teammates and opponents in prayer after games.
